A FREE online directory with over 550 Helensburgh and Lomond business listings has been launched.
The new Destination Helensburgh Information Center was created over the summer to act as a one-stop-shop for details on all things local and the founders of the project are asking residents to help make it as comprehensive as possible.
In addition to a shopping directory of local retailers, the website also lists local restaurants, places to stay, businesses and services, and local organizations and groups. The listings are grouped into categories and are easy to filter and search, and consist of business or organization name, type, and a link to websites or social media pages.

Anne Foy, Destination Helensburgh team member, said: “A basic directory listing is free, and now we need the help of the community to make sure the listing is as comprehensive as possible.
“Please take a look and let us know what’s missing or what needs updating by contacting us through Facebook or emailing us at [email protected]
“We also have a business membership program which offers a full webpage and featured listing plus other benefits which are free until February 1, 2021 and then start at just £60 per year.

“If you’re involved with a local community organization, charity or non-profit group, we offer a free webpage and listing in our organizations directory.
“We also have an events calendar of what’s happening locally, so let us know your planned activities and then we can list them and promote them on our social media.
“Please help us create a helpful resource for the local community and promote Helensburgh and Lomond as a great place to live, work and visit.”
Destination Helensburgh supports the national Scotland Loves Local campaign and encourages everyone to use the #HelensburghLovesLocal hashtag on their social posts to help highlight the wide range of products and services available in the area.
